A community for Home-Educated Children
and Families in South Gloucestershire
Three Strands of Support:
One Community
Explore - Grow - Thrive
A Community Approach
Across all three strands, The Edventure Project CiC focuses on connection, wellbeing and real-life learning experiences.
Our aim is to create environments where children feel safe to explore their interests, develop confidence and build meaningful relationships with others.
Together, The Tribe, The Hive and The Compass form a supportive ecosystem for families navigating home education and alternative learning pathways.

The Tribe
Youth Sessions
The Tribe is our core youth programme where home educated, flexi-schooled and EOTAS children and young people come together to connect, explore their interests and develop life skills through real-world experiences. Parents/Carers or mentors can attend if a 1:1 is needed.
Sessions complement a family's home education journey by providing opportunities for social connection, creativity, physical activity and wellbeing.
Activities may include:
-
Mindful mornings and wellbeing practices
-
Cooking club and community lunches
-
Arts, crafts and creative projects
-
Nature exploration and bushcraft
-
Sports, games and outdoor challenges
-
Life skills and problem solving – Enterprise through our Artisan’s Den selling shelf
-
Literacy, numeracy and science woven naturally into projects
Our mentoring approach is inspired by Forest School principles and experiential learning, supporting young people to build confidence, independence and positive relationships.
Edventure is also an ASDAN centre, offering young people the opportunity to complete portfolio-based challenges that recognise practical skills and personal achievements.
Days: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday

The Hive is a relaxed space where home educating families can come together to connect, share experiences and support one another.
Children can play, create and explore while parents and carers enjoy conversation, a cuppa and peer support. Activity stations will be available, creating a welcoming and informal environment for families within the safe space of The Edventure Project CiC.
There will be an Art and Craft Table, Lego, Quiet Book Corner, Tuck Shop with snacks, Sensory quiet room with board games, Outdoor space with swings and mud kitchen, picnic benches and trees to climb and explore. The Tullet Field will be used as a car park and off limits for play, with the smaller field for games and fun.

Parents remain responsible for supervising their children during Hive sessions.

These sessions help strengthen the home education community by creating opportunities for families to meet, exchange ideas and build supportive friendships.

The Compass
Guidance and Support
The Compass offers guidance and support for families and schools navigating SEND, EHCP and home education including Flexi-Schooling pathways.
Through mentoring, advocacy and practical advice, The Compass helps families feel more informed and confident when making decisions about their child’s education and wellbeing.
It also helps schools navigate their obligations and responsibilities – supporting set up of alternative learning spaces, out of the box strategies and looking at provision in a more inclusive way; encouraging schools to view provision through the experiences of the young people themselves.
Where appropriate, families may also be signposted to trusted professionals and services, to ensure they receive the specialist support they need due to high need and low capacity.
SummerClub
Join us this August for three weeks of outdoor adventures, creative projects, games, campfires, cooking and plenty of opportunities to make new friends. Each week has its own theme – Animals, Food and Summer – with a flexible, welcoming approach that allows young people to explore, create and have fun in a supportive community environment.
Our Summer Sessions are open to both home educated young people and children who are enrolled in school. Under current regulations, school-enrolled children may attend for up to 14 days during the school holidays. Sessions are suitable for ages 5–15 and are led by our experienced Edventure team, with outdoor play, life skills, creativity and connection at the heart of everything we do.
Spaces are limited and booking is essential. To view dates, themes and costs, and to secure your child's place, please complete the booking form available on our Info & Forms page. We look forward to welcoming both familiar and new faces for a summer full of adventure, laughter and memories. 🌿
